June 9: Jazz Showcase at Ted Herbert Music School

Manchester, New Hampshire – The Ted Herbert Music School will host a jazz showcase on Sunday, June 9 Ted Herbert and Majestic Studio Theater in Manchester. This afternoon, students and instructors from the Ted Herbert Jazz Program will present the first performance of the Ted Herbert Community Big Band.

Over the past few months, student musicians aged 13 to 19 have been rehearsing in an ensemble setting under the guidance of professional musicians, under the guidance of musician Thomas Salyers.

Professional musicians include: Matt Bruno (trombone), Andrew Emanuel (saxophone), Nicholas Gendron (bass), Thomas Saleyes (trumpet) and Jeff Sa Mataro (drummer).

Student performers include:

Jillian Dunlap and Naomi Akirav – alto saxophone

William Perkins – tenor saxophone

Sofia Stefano – baritone saxophone

Alex Czajka and Myrick Oxnard – trombone

Travis Dinh, Daniel Sarch and Noah Steffen – trumpet

Nick Spencer – guitar

Jack Lianos – Upright Bass

Jack Jarnell and Nicholas Williton – piano

Genaro Termini, Sebastian Keen and George Welsh – drums.
