North Star signs SOV new build contract with Siemens Gamesa

Aberdeen, Scotland — North Star has signed a contract with Siemens Gamesa to build a mixed service operating vessel (SOV) that will be chartered on a long-term basis off the East Anglia III offshore wind turbines off the coast of Suffolk, England. Electric field development case.

The high-specification vessel will accommodate up to 60 of the client’s wind technicians, who support maintenance operations on all 95 wind turbines at the East Anglia hub development.
