Mumbai Lok Sabha Polls: May 20-21, show your ink and get 20% discount at these restaurants.


On the day of the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) announced a 20% “democracy discount” to all voters at participating restaurants in Mumbai on May 20 and 21.

Customers need to prove they have voted to receive the 20% discount on their order. NRAI confirmed that more than 100 restaurants are participating in the “Democracy Discount” initiative.

“All participating restaurants will offer a 20 per cent discount on the total bill to dine-in customers who are residents and vote with their fingers based on their voter ID,” NRAI said.

Mumbai Lok Sabha polls fifth phase

Voting is underway in Mumbai, India’s financial capital. Voting will be held on Monday in six constituencies in Mumbai and 43 other constituencies across the country.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena has fielded candidates in Mumbai South, Mumbai North West and Mumbai South Central constituencies, while the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded candidates in Mumbai North, Mumbai North Central and Mumbai Central constituencies. The Northeast constituency fielded candidates. As part of the MVA seat-sharing agreement, the opposition Shiv Sena (UBT), led by former CM Uddhav Thackeray, has fielded candidates in Mumbai South, Mumbai South Central, Mumbai North East and Mumbai North West districts.
