Iran, China sign MoU to strengthen agricultural cooperation – Eurasia Review


Iran and China signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in the fields of agriculture and horticulture, agriculture, fisheries and agricultural mechanization.

The fifth meeting of the Iran-China Joint Cooperation Committee was held in China. Iranian Deputy Minister of Agriculture Kazem Khawazi, Chinese Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Ma Youxiang, and Iranian Ambassador to China Mohsen Bakhtiar attended the meeting.

According to IRIB news reports, during the meeting, the two sides emphasized expanding bilateral cooperation in the agricultural field.

The memorandum of understanding signed at the meeting focused on cooperation between the two countries in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, fishery, agricultural mechanization and other fields.

It also requires Chinese investment in Iranian agricultural development projects.
