Vanderbilt Men’s Basketball | Dores Ink-McLockton

Nashville, Tennessee— Boston College transfer Devin McClockton has officially signed with Vanderbilt, head coach Mark Byington announced Friday.

McLockton, a 6-foot-7 forward from Cumming, Ga., appears in all 36 games for the Eagles in the 2023-24 season. In his sophomore season, he averaged 10.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

“Devin is extremely talented and I think he’s going to be very successful for us and be a successful professional,” Byington said. “He has the ability to impact the game in every aspect — scoring, passing, rebounding, defense and making those tough plays that change the game.”

McLockton shot 57.5% from the field and 36.7% from three-point range. He scored in double figures 19 times, 16 of which came in ACC or NIT games.

On January 6, he scored a career-high 30 points on 12-for-15 shooting in Boston College’s win over Georgia Tech. In the game, McGlockton grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds and scored 15 points.

The forward has excelled on the offensive glass this season, ranking fourth in the ACC with 2.64 offensive rebounds per game. The mark leads the Hawks and ranks among the top 100 nationally in offensive rebounding percentage.

On the defensive end, McGlockton contributed 29 blocks, ranking second in Boston College and 16th in the ACC. He also had 20 steals in 2023-24.

In two seasons at Boston College, McLockton appeared in 69 games, starting 46 of them. During his career, he shot over 60% from three-point range and 0.752 from the free throw line.

McLockton will be a junior in 2024-25 and has two seasons of eligibility.
