GoTrade is one of the DHL Group’s sustainability initiatives. It aims to promote export-oriented growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) globally. On the other hand, Women and E-Commerce Forum (WE) is a community platform that aims to build a support system for Bangladeshi female entrepreneurs to transform their skills into businesses.

Through its partnership with DHL, WE members will benefit from expert-led sessions covering a variety of topics required for global expansion, including globalization strategies, marketing technology, logistics optimization and e-commerce solutions.

Commenting on this development, Md Miarul Haque, Managing Director, DHL Express Bangladesh, said: “We are delighted to partner with the Women and E-Commerce Forum. This cooperation marks the beginning of DHL Express and WE working together to empower Bangladeshi small and medium-sized enterprises and promote economic growth. The collaboration will provide support to a large number of small businesses, potentially boosting their growth and enhancing their competitiveness in the global market, the press release added.

Leveraging DHL Express’ extensive network and expertise, WE’s SMEs will receive valuable insights and practical guidance to navigate the complexities of international trade, the press release added.

“Trade and Growth Beyond Borders” is one of the initiatives of the DHL GoTrade program. It targets SMEs in various industries, including those related to WE. Furthermore, the program aims to extend its reach to SMEs beyond the Forum network, promoting inclusivity and expanding the impact of the initiative on Bangladesh’s trade landscape.

Nasima Akter Nisha, Chairperson of the Women and E-Commerce Forum, said: “We believe that empowering SMEs is critical to driving economic development and promoting innovation.” She concluded: “Through our partnership with DHL Express Bangladesh, we are committed to SMEs provide the support and guidance they need to succeed globally.
