Rudy Giuliani quits WABC New York City over 2020 election statement

Red Apple Media’s 77WABC (WABC-AM) has suspended former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and canceled his daily talk show after he repeatedly attempted to discuss matters surrounding the 2020 presidential election discredited claims despite warnings against it.

WABC boss John Catsimatidis told radio ink”, “We will not be talking about fallacies about the November 2020 election on 77WABC. We warned him once. We warned him twice. I got a text from him last night and I got a text from him this morning and he refused to talk about it. He left me no choice. I suspended him.

Catsimatidis added in the interview New York Times“Look, I like [Giuliani] As a human being, you can’t do that. You can’t cross the line. My point is, no one really knows, but we have company policy. It’s all over, life goes on.

Rudy Giuliani, a key figure in former President Donald Trump’s campaign to win the 2020 election, faces criminal charges in Georgia and Arizona and is involved in multiple lawsuits. Additionally, Giuliani faces financial pressure from creditors, including $148 million in damages owed to two Georgia election workers, Vandria Alshaye Moss and her mother, Ruby Freeman, following a defamation trial compensation.

WABC, which airs Giuliani’s show every weekday and Sunday, does not offer him a salary but a share of advertising revenue, which could affect his income amid the ongoing legal battle.
