DET signs agreement with Emirates to enhance Dubai’s status as a leading business destination


DET and Emirates will collaborate on a series of events to strengthen relationships with the international business community

Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has signed a strategic partnership with Emirates Airline to strengthen international efforts and raise Dubai’s profile as a hub for trade, tourism and investment. Building on the parties’ long-standing partnership and success in tourism promotion, the agreement reaffirms the parties’ commitment to achieving the goals of Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and enhancing the city’s position as a leading destination for business and leisure.

Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Company for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM) and Adnan Kazim, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Airline, during the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024 (Adnan Kazim) signed the agreement.

Promoting Dubai’s strong business ecosystem

The partnership between DET and Emirates aims to promote Dubai’s strong business ecosystem, strategic location and connectivity to key service areas. Additionally, it promotes the emirate’s business-friendly policies and processes, ultra-modern infrastructure and innovation-led economy. Through the agreement, the entities seek to target corporates, multinationals, prominent family businesses and global investors, positioning Dubai as an ideal hub for businesses seeking to enter the fast-growing economy.

“DET and Emirates have developed a strong partnership in recent years and this new MoU further enhances our ability to reach, engage and engage business audiences around the world,” said Issam Kazim.

The partnership will enable Dubai Trade and Emirates to collaborate on marketing campaigns, gain access to a wide range of services and solutions to streamline global logistics operations, and gain market insights to promote Dubai as a hub for business, trade and investment.

In addition, DET and Emirates will collaborate on a series of activities to strengthen relationships with the international business community.

“We are committed to working with our DET partners to enhance Dubai’s status as a global economic center and increase its visibility through a series of promotional activities in our network of more than 140 cities and beyond,” commented Adnan Kazim.

“We are also working hard to develop our network and connectivity to complement Dubai’s already strong trade footprint,” the Emirates vice president added.
