IICO and UNDP sign MoU to strengthen cooperation


Kuwait: The International Islamic Charity Organization (IICO) on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to strengthen cooperation and humanitarian responses to crises in poor countries. Dr. Abdullah Matouk, Chairman of Kuwait-based IICO, said in his speech at the signing ceremony that IICO is honored to cooperate with the United Nations Development Program, represented by the Regional Office for Arab States, and appreciates its efforts to promote sustainable development. development and poverty eradication.

Al-Maatouq added that the signing of the memorandum is part of the Authority’s strategic vision for 2022-26 and aims to establish effective strategic partnerships. He emphasized that IICO and UNDP share a common intention on multiple issues, including collaborating in areas of mutual interest, leveraging expertise and sharing resources to address social, economic and environmental challenges affecting people around the world.
