At drupa 2024, German hubergroup will display its water-based and food contact packaging inks at three booths; and deliver four speeches on flexible, food and recyclable packaging solutions and digital color communication.

Thomas Polster, business development manager, brand owner and global key account, will deliver a panel discussion titled “The Future of Soft Paper Packaging” on the 31st.Yingshi May 14:00. He will discuss the opportunities and challenges of web offset flexible paper packaging, its performance and available design options with brand owners, paper and press manufacturers, printers and packagers.

The second lecture titled “Inside the Box – Direct Food Contact” will be hosted by Junior Product Manager Korbinian Steigenberger on the 2ndND June 11:45. This will discuss the special functional and regulatory requirements for food products that come into direct contact with printing inks and coatings, and how brand owners can balance the need for visually appealing packaging with sustainable design.

Three stalls will showcase hubergroup’s food packaging innovations and products. The company’s MGA product portfolio will be on display at Koenig & Bauer’s stand in Hall 16, booths A31-1 to A31-5.

These include the MGA NATURA fast printing sheet-fed offset press series. It is designed for printing on the exterior of food packaging and will form part of an extended color gamut system on Koenig & Bauer machines.

Additionally, the MGA CONTACT direct food contact range will be on display, which claims to provide bright and safe printing inside paper or cardboard food packaging. Experts from hubergroup will discuss 7-color printing.

In Hall 14, Expert Srl’s stand (stand D-50) will showcase hubergroup’s water packaging ink solutions for a range of compliant packaging. The modular HYDRO-X system is designed to provide flexibility and color intensity, and technicians will demonstrate and discuss solutions.

hubergroup’s range of solvent-based Gecko Bond Top packaging inks will also be on display at the Comexi stand in Hall 10 (stand C-19).

At the same event, Fujifilm will showcase its new water-based inks; “process-free” plates for offset printing; presses that use dry toner compatible with paper packaging; and its integrated analog offset and digital printing solutions Other contributions to the program.

LEIPA will also be showcasing its digitally printable solid board substrates. In addition to packaging.digital and Xeikon, it will apply personalized images, barcodes, serial numbers, etc. directly to carton packaging.
