Eagles sign former Bruins DB to UDFA

The UCLA Bruins sent several players to the NFL in the recent NFL draft, including star pass rusher Laiatu Latu. But the Bruins also fielded some other solid players.

One of those includes Kenny Churchwell III, who was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent. Although Churchwell III went undrafted, he could still provide some value to Philadelphia.

He hopes to impress the Eagles coaching staff and potentially pave a path to the roster. Last season with the Bruins, he had 34 tackles, one interception, three passes defended and one fumble recovery.

Churchwell III will have a chance to play for the Eagles and will participate in rookie minicamp in Philadelphia. He will try to prove himself through performances, training camps and preseason games.

While Churchwell III may not be an immediate star, he could be impactful. The Eagles have been great at defensive back in recent years, so this could be an ideal landing spot for him.
