Philips and Nicklaus collaborate on children’s ink for ten years

Philips and Nicklaus Children’s Health System in Miami have committed to a 10-year partnership that will feature artificial intelligence-enabled MRI, ultrasound and patient experience technology.

Nicklaus Children’s Hospital will use technology such as Philips Ingenia Ambition X MR and EPIQ CVx ultrasound scanners, including AI-enabled radiology workflow software to reduce exam time and the need for rescans, according to the company. In addition, Philips said it will also deploy patient experience technologies such as Philips Ambient Experience, Kitten Scanner and Scan Buddy App to help reduce patient anxiety during MRI.

In addition, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital will be the first to use the company’s virtually helium-free Philips Ambition

Philips said that because Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is home to the largest pediatric teaching program in the southeastern United States, the collaboration will help train the next generation of pediatric clinicians to integrate artificial intelligence tools into daily practice.
