KVD to sign agreement with UPSNA soon, will plan events, prepare Sanatan calendar | Varanasi News

Varanasi: The Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham Development Committee will soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UP Sangeet Natak Akademi (UPSNA), adding to the many cultural events and functions organized at Kashi Vishwanath Dham, including Mahashivratri.

Prior to the signing of the MoU, UPSNA Director Shobhit Kumar Nahar visited KV Dham on Sunday and took stock of the premises within the temple along with board CEO Vishwa Bhushan Mishra and other officials.

Regarding the progress in organizing cultural events at KV Dham, Mishra said at a global seminar held in Lucknow on April 25-26 that he presented the positive impact of cultural events on the social, economic and cultural conditions of the holy land. City. After this, it was decided to add more color to the events organized on festivals like Mahashivratri and on Sanatan calendar dates like Pradosh.

After watching the presentation, Mukesh Meshram, principal secretary (religious affairs), Ministry of Culture and Tourism, agreed to convince UPSNA to decide to take steps to make the event more attractive and prepare its calendar.
UPSNA Director visits KV Dham
Following this decision, UPSNA Director Shobhit Kumar Nahar visited KV Dham on Sunday. During the inspection, the board officials showed him the sound system, musical instruments and other facilities of KV Dham.

Nahar said Akademi’s detailed proposal to organize cultural events at KV Dham will be submitted to the state government soon.

Once approved by the state government, the concurrence of Varanasi Kaushal Raj Sharma, Director, Religious Affairs Department and Divisional Commissioner, will be sought for signing the proposed MoU. Under the MoU, the new arrangement will feature local, national and international artists.
