ICEYE has signed a data partnership agreement with BRP Group subsidiary Juniper Re, enabling Juniper Re to leverage ICEYE’s flood and wildfire insights data to enhance its services to operator customers by providing near-real-time data on major events.

Juniper Re explained that this measure is part of the company’s commitment to integrating solutions to enhance customer support. With quick access to detailed hazard and damage assessments provided by ICEYE, Juniper Re’s clients will be able to respond to natural disasters quickly and effectively, enhancing their decision-making processes and ability to manage potential losses.

ICEYE operates a fleet of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites around the world that are critical to providing continuous Earth observations. The technology ensures the insurance industry can continuously monitor any location around the world, providing consistent visibility regardless of weather conditions or time of day.

Adam Miron, director of disaster analysis at Juniper Re, highlighted the transformative impact of this technology.

“ICEYE’s breakthrough technology is a game changer for continuous monitoring and actionable insights. The ability to identify specific risks and true damage at scale, near instantaneously, no matter the situation, is revolutionary. Losses can be identified in hours rather than in numbers. within days, allowing our customers to quickly understand the impact of an incident and take timely loss mitigation measures,” said Miron.

Kurt Jackson, ICEYE’s head of insurance business in the Americas, also expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration.

“We are pleased to partner with Juniper Re and support the development of leading data solutions. This collaboration aligns with ICEYE’s mission to put near-real-time observed data into the hands of carriers and brokers following extreme weather events, enabling the industry to Make better, faster decisions,” Jackson said.
