Ulsan Floating Offshore Wind Power Association signs cooperation agreement with Korean fishing community

The Ulsan Floating Offshore Wind Power Association, representing five offshore wind power developers, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ulsan Floating Offshore Wind Power Fishermen Countermeasures Committee and the Ulsan Water Association (National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives) to cooperate in the development of Ulsan Offshore Wind power, South Korea.

Relevant parties gathered at the Ulsan Chamber of Commerce and Industry on April 23 to sign the agreement, which aims to expedite the project by facilitating cooperation throughout all stages of development, including but not limited to conducting onshore and offshore surveys, obtaining permits and approvals , ensuring resident support, construction, operation and maintenance.

This partnership is expected to minimize development time and facilitate faster project progress.

Going forward, we are committed to actively listening to our fishermen and incorporating them into our mutually beneficial plans , to ensure we prosper together in tangible ways.

The Ulsan floating offshore wind power cluster is about 60-100 kilometers away, with a total planned capacity of up to 6 GW.

In April last year, five project developers established the Ulsan Floating Offshore Wind Power Council to promote smoother cooperation and joined the Ulsan Chamber of Commerce as special members.

Developers include Equinor & Bandibuli Energy, Ocean Winds and Mainstream Renewable Power & KF Wind-East Blue Power, CIP & Haewoori Offshore Wind 1,2,3, BadaEnergy & Gray Whale Offshore Wind Power 1,2,3 and MunmuBaram.
