SCHAUMBURG, IL – INX International Ink Co., a leader in flexo ink technology, will showcase a variety of sustainable ink solutions at this year’s FTA Forum and INFOFLEX 2024 in Booth 133. May 5-8 at Loews City Hotel and Convention Center in Kansas.

“We are excited to connect with flexo industry professionals and support this event,” said Renee Schouten, Vice President of Marketing at INX. “The Forum and INFOFLEX provide us with a unique opportunity to showcase the latest flexo ink innovations and Explaining our dedication to sustainability and partner collaboration, we understand how innovation thrives when diverse perspectives come together, and at this event we can explore new technology ideas that can shape the future of our industry.

Schouten points out that as the flexo printing industry continues to grow, it is important to have an ink partner that is committed to producing high-quality, environmentally friendly products as well as excellent customer service and support.

“At INX, we offer partnerships that drive growth. Our R&D department develops every new product with sustainability in mind. We know that by using eco-friendly inks we can reduce the carbon footprint of packaging materials and contribute to a circular economy Make a difference. Two solutions we debuted at last year’s show, DuraINX HRC natural inks and Ecostage GB-XA coatings, are examples of how we are helping brand owners and printers achieve their sustainability goals.

DuraINX HRC is a solvent ink formulated with high-performance pigments and ingredients with up to 40% bio-renewable content for flexographic outdoor bag printing. It offers excellent high-speed printability and excellent long-lasting properties, including product resistance, fade resistance and rub/abrasion resistance. It can withstand environmental exposure, and printers using it can achieve higher color intensity than competing bag systems.

Ecostage GB-XA is a clear oxygen barrier coating that improves sustainability and recycling efforts. It is a cost-effective alternative to film options that allows single-material packaging to replace multi-layer packaging for specific food applications and improves recycling and packaging lightweighting efforts. The chlorine- and metal-free coating produces excellent barrier properties on polyester and polyolefin films with dry film weights as low as 0.6g/m2.

Booth 133 will also showcase a range of powerful solutions that use renewable, natural raw materials from ethical and sustainably managed sources and benefit brand owners and customers.

Brand owners and food packaging suppliers choose INXhrc® natural inks for a variety of reasons, in addition to being safer, more sustainable and reducing regulatory risk. With clean, biorenewable and sustainable ingredients, CO2 emissions are significantly reduced without sacrificing machine, processing or end-use performance. INXhrc uses fewer chemicals than traditional inks and contains no allergens, nanomaterials, fluorochemicals, fanal pigments, heavy metals, latex or PTFE.

INXFlex™ Contour flexographic inks provide high performance for shrink sleeve applications and are UV and LED curable. These fast-drying inks provide high-speed printability, maximize shrink profiles and eliminate post-shrink adhesion loss and ink flaking. Dual-cure (DC) versions can switch from UV or LED units on a case-by-case basis, providing the option of using one ink system for both curing methods, increasing efficiency and reducing application costs.

Genesis™ FS washable label inks maintain properties that meet APR guidelines required for shrink sleeve applications. The ink exhibits excellent resistance to bleeding in alkaline bath solutions and can be separated from the substrate and removed from the label material, thus enabling complete recyclable packaging. It can also be used to feed OPP labels on a floating roll, so customers can print a variety of label types using the ink system.

Innova Plus™ is a universal flexo lamination ink suitable for use with a variety of solvent-based, water-based and solvent-free adhesive systems. It improves printability while providing excellent adhesion, color strength, heat resistance and adhesive smear resistance.

INX printing application experts will be available in booth 133, and attendees can schedule meetings to discuss these products. Please visit the website to learn more about INX flexo ink solutions.
