Eve Air Mobility and AirX Inc. sign agreement to purchase up to 50 eVTOLs and technology suites

Melbourne, Florida – Eve Air Mobility of Melbourne, Florida, has signed a letter of intent with public helicopter charter service AirX Inc. of Tokyo to purchase 10 fixed aircraft and up to 40 optional electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. This order will support the continued development and scale-up of Japan’s electric vertical take-off and landing transportation business.

AirX is a pioneer in advanced air transportation in Japan and a digital platform company that provides total solutions for charter services to the Japanese public through AIROS Skyview. AirX announced the launch of the UAM Center, the first eVTOL test site in the Greater Tokyo area. This innovative initiative builds on AirX’s rich history of delivering unique aerial experiences through AIROS Skyview since 2015 and marks a milestone in the company’s journey towards urban air mobility (UAM).

Eve’s eVTOL aircraft uses lift and cruise configurations with eight dedicated propellers for vertical flight and fixed wings for cruise flight, with the position of these components not changing during flight. The latest concept includes electric thrusters driven by dual electric motors, providing propulsion redundancy and designed to ensure the highest levels of performance and safety.

Eve has signed letters of intent for nearly 3,000 eVTOLs, which are expected to enter service in 2026.

“We are deeply impressed by EVE’s technical capabilities and their commitment to building an ecosystem,” said Kiwamu Tezuka, CEO of AirX Inc. “By combining our knowledge, experience and existing business platform with EVE’s comprehensive solutions Combining the solutions, we hope to overcome traffic restrictions by promoting eVTOL operations in Japan.
