Bangladesh and Qatar sign 10 cooperation agreements


Bangladesh and Qatar recently signed 10 cooperation documents, including 5 agreements and 5 memorandums of understanding on promoting mutual investment, avoiding double taxation and establishing a joint commercial committee, improving bilateral relations.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani presided over the signing ceremony.

The 10 cooperation documents were signed at an event chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The signed documents include those related to the protection of mutual investments, establishment of a Joint Business Council (JBC) and cooperation between Qatar Port Management Company and Chittagong Port Authority.

The signed agreements include cooperation in the legal field, avoidance of double taxation, promotion and protection of mutual investment, establishment of a Joint Business Council (JBC), etc., as well as cooperation between Qatar Port Management Company “MAWANI QATAR” and the Chittagong Port of Bangladesh. The Agency (CPA) was a highlight of the signed MoU.
